Tractor Sales for September 2019
September Tractor Sales -
Tractor sales ( Mahm & Escorts) were down 9% YoY but Month on Month for Escorts and Mahindra & Mahindra was up by 180% & 120% respectively. For the calendar year, 2019 M&M lost 100bps to 77% vs 78%YoY. Whereas, Escorts gain 100bps to 23% vs 22% YoY.
Going forward, we can anticipate the decline in industry sales to flatten or even grow in positive territory. As per the commentary of agriculture lenders, they are witnessing healthy disbursement to agriculture. Thou, some regions of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh & Madhya Pradesh is witnessing a flood-like situation. There might a marginal impact on sales figures for October Month.
Tractor Indsutryhas to been seen in isolation from other Commercial, Two & passenger vehicles. The dynamics are completely different.
Going forward, I will be sharing some of the insights on the buying patterns and industry dynamics.
